The air quality in the urban region varies based on sources of pollution from regions near and far. Any produced affects locality source also adjacent distant regions. study interaction between local weather patterns a pollutants is needed for management. It explicit that Chennai city has high level pollution. But unavailability relevant data makes management difficult. If known, it will be helpful to provide control measures. Between January 2017 December 2017, particulate matter below size 2.5 micron (PM2.5) was assessed. quite concentrated metropolitan situated at shores Bay Bengal. This assessment transport phenomenon expansion pollutant particles initially emanating Chennai. occurs mainly due westerly winds originating time duration analysis showed an average PM2.5 concentration 63.524 � 18.942 �g/m3. far exceeds regulations World Health Organization (WHO).
